Welcome Scouts!

The Boy Scouts of America organization was founded in 1910, with Cub Scouts following 20 years later (1930). The year-round program helps boys who are in the first through fifth grades by providing them with age-appropriate activities designed to develop their personal character.

Parent volunteers work together to achieve the purposes of Cub Scouting, which include:

1) Character Development,
2) Spiritual Growth,
3) Good Citizenship,
4) Sportsmanship, v
5) Family Understanding,
6) Respectful Relationships,
7) Personal Achievement,
8) Friendly Service,
9) Fun & Adventure, and
10) Preparation for Boy Scouts.

Boys who participate in Cub Scouting join a Pack and then are assigned a den, usually consisting of six to eight boys. The den is grouped by age – Tiger Cubs (1st graders), Wolf Cub Scouts (2nd graders), Bear Cub Scouts (3rd graders), and Webelos Scouts (4th & 5th graders). Pack 148 meets once a week on Mondays.
