How would you rate your son's Cub Scout experience this year? |
| How would you rate your son's Cub Scout experience this year? Start, Stop, Continue -->Continue offering a balanced program of activities. I also appreciate that nothing is very time-consuming. -->It is great to be so welcome -->Start: adding more opportunities for camping and getting outdoors Stop: Canceling trips Continue: to let the kids have fun -->I think some den leaders can be encouraged to participate better -->Continue offering as many activities as possible -->activities are great. maybe explain achievements and badges at each Pack meeting to explain importance and that they build up to higher ranks. -->Start on time. Puncuality is very American. Stop cancelling camping trips on rumors of mist. Continue everyting else. --> we will most likely not return next year. |

If a friend asked you about joining Scouting, would you tell him that he should join Pack 148? |

How would you rate our monthly Pack meetings? |
| How would you rate our monthly Pack meetings? Start, Stop, Continue --> Sorry, but these are very boring...It's very difficult for boys to pay attention. Perhaps have more skits/interaction in between awards. Also, Pack meetings should begin on time to set an example for the boys. It's hard to hear the speakers - maybe a microphone? -->I'd like to see them spread out a bit. I understand the fewer Pack meetings mean more awards onger meetings. My child doesnot enjoy them as much. Just looking for a happy medium as they are important. -->Sometimes they go a little long with all the skits and awards -->Stop Announcements, Ann...,Ann... :) Just kidding I love to hear the boys. That is so cute! -->better understanding of how to qualify for all badges and other merit opportunities -->continue: with skits -->Could we have them every 6 weeks? -->Flows well. Clean up could go smoother with an overall method -->Tough call. Business needs to be done, but the boys are not patient. --> fine. |

How would you rate your son's Den meetings? |
| How would you rate your son's Den meetings? Start, Stop, Continue --> My son's den meetings are sometimes hectic and perhaps a bit more structure would help. --> I'd like to see more team building activities rather than individual projects. --> Continue emailing what is to be covered in my son's den meetings. It helps us prepare ahead of time. -->The idea of the weekly meeting beginning at 6:45 was great to give 15 minutes for the announcements and a full hour for the dens. Towards the end of the year we were getting started later and later. -->Not really in the den meetings with him -->Den Leader is great! -->A little too lenient on behaviour of some of the boys. I know 8 year-olds are rambunctious, but they shouldn't be allowed to be so disrespectful. -->well organized and thoroughly planned -->The Kathmans have always been prepared, spirited and encouraging -->Webelos I need some time during meetings to review achievements -->Add variety, we seem to do the same thing everyweek -->Our den meetings were excellent. That's why our den leader is the rising pack leader. --> They could have been better. My son has been a scout in pack 148 for the past 3 years and we have followed the same schedule all 3 years. Meaning each year we did the same thing. My son became board doing the same thing over each year. |

Do you feel like the Leadership of the Pack is taking the Pack in a positive direction? |
| Do you feel like the Leadership of the Pack is taking the Pack in a positive direction? Start, Stop, Continue --> No suggestions. You all do a great job :) -->A Great Group of Parents which make great leadership for the boys -->Keep Lorna here! -->--> Thanks for the survey. --> My son loves it! -->I like that the pack committee is looking to do more things a regular basis. -->Not sure how but have talked w/ parents of other packs that moved through process much faster. Essentially each semester involved 2 camping trips and each semester has a graduation to next badge. -->--> excellent blue and gold speaker/entertainment --> need more show/sell opportunities -->All A's here. --> N/A |

| What would you like to more or less of? (i.e. hikes, camping trips, den "field trips") -->-Things like the Yorktown trip are great - more of that !! -den field trips and guest speakers were a great experience for my son -->Hikes (2-3) more emphasis during hikes on observing elements and nature -->more hikes -->Field trip and day hikes are good. Those parents that have boys in both pack and troop get spread a bit thin but all are great activities. Hope to attend more next year. -->enjoy hikes -->field trips -->everything is fine -->->more hiking ->field trips -->Hikes -->I like to see field trips on your ???, camping trips more -->more den field trips -->camping - more of -->more hike/camping trips -->den field trips, hikes were good!! -->more --> hikes, camping trips, den field trips and more Go-See-Its -->more hikes, more camping -->Field trips are great! -->more outdoor activities -->camping trips, fishing, other outdoor activites -->Amount seems fine - options allow scouts to attend sports, birthday parties and visit family out of town -->more of all of these at the den level -->Good balance for Tiger - 1st year -->- hikes - field tripss --> Just more things to do. Three years of doing the same thing gets boring. ie. same den craft, same den activities. --> More outdoors activities. Is boating realistic? We could rent a couple pontoons and have a blast on Lake Norman. |
| Are there any specific activities/events in which you would like to see the Pack participate? -->can't think of anything at the moment -->-> Service Projects - Nature related -> more outdoor activites -->I enjoy what we do -->n/a -->Another Yorktown trip or similar -->field trips -->conservation -->scout-o-rama? -->camping -->Competition among the Scouts in building projects (Small) -->Par 3 Golf field trip -->current activities seem fine -->more activities at the den level --> Is boating realistic? We could rent a couple pontoons and have a blast on Lake Norman. --> My son and I made many suggestions to the Den of things to do throughout the year, but all were turned down. |

Have communications/announcements regarding Pack events been informative and timely? |
| Have communications/announcements regarding Pack events been informative and timely? Start, Stop, Continue -->Love the use of email for updates - I especially like that there are frequent reminders -->Continue sending emails re: different scouting events -->emails closer to events for last minute reminders -->no comment --> need more distribution in meetings and through emails. Also more details in announcements -->continue: email -->It might be better to use the webiste/email list better -->- for new scout and parents, it would be especially helpful to better understand earning of beltloops and electives -->maybe have a website with links so that if maps, directions, itineraries, packing lists etc need to be distributed, we don't need to wait for an email. -->cont emails -->N/A --> Comms is a little weak. --> continue |
